Admission Procedure

The college is offering B. Ed. and D. El. Ed. Programmes.


The B.Ed. Degree course (4 Semester) of this college is affiliated to Calicut University. The admission is through a Centrallized Allotment Process (CAP) done by the University of Calicut. The merit of the candidates will be decided on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Being a self-financing institution, the Management seats (50% of the total intake of 100 students) will be filled by the management. Applications to these seats may be sent to the manager directly. The application forms can be collected from the college office. The students are admitted as per the directives of the University of Calicut. The minimum percentage of marks for admission is 50% in Bachelor’s Degree (Science/Arts subjects). The applicants who have secured 50% in the part III (main & subsidiary together) are eligible for admission. For B.Ed. English optional, B.A. degree with English language and Literature/ functional English/ B.A. Communicative English with 50% marks in aggregate are eligible. Applicants having B.A./ B.Sc. Degree with 50% of marks for Part I English and not less than 50% marks for Masters Degree in English language and literature are also eligible. Relaxation in marks for reservation category will be as given in the prospectus.

Admission Schedule

The admission process is managed by the Directorate of Admissions (DOA), University of Calicut. Every year the DOA announces the details such as Notification Date, Publication of Notification, Date of publication of Rank list, Date of Counseling, Commencement of classes and Date of closing of admission.

Candidates should report to the college office with the following documents in original

  • The Allotment Memo received online.
  • Receipt of fee remitted in the bank.
  • Certificate to prove date of birth – SSLC Book.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended.
  • Marklist of the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent) and the Pass certificate (if applicable).
  • Marklists of all parts of BA/B.Sc., MA/M.Sc. Degree examinations and Degree Certificates (if applicable).
  • Eligibility Certificate from any University in Kerala, in case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination from other Universities outside state.
  • Migration Certificate, if applicable.
  • Any other documents required to be produced by the Head of Institution such as certificate to prove SC/ST/OBC, Community, Income, etc.
  • Three passport size photos.
  • Two self-addressed stamped envelopes.
  • Take sufficient number of photocopies of the certificates before you submit those to the college office.

D.El.Ed. is a 4 semester course offered in this college. The course is preparing teachers for the lower primary and upper primary classes. The office of the Director of Public Instruction (DPI),  Thiruvananthapuram, is managing  the admission process. The college has a total intake of 50 students. Of  the 50 seats, 25 seats (50% of the seats)  are in the management quota. The seats are distributed in science subjects (40%)  Humanities (40%) and Commerce (20%). The qualification for admission is plus two. The details will be notified by the DPI in the Website
